WranglerSEMA Time again!

Behold the Orange Crush!

During a walk through SEMA's massive truck and off-road section in the south hall of the Vegas Convention Center, my eyes landed on Orange Crush. Specifically, they landed on the 426 Hemi badge on the hood of this heavily modded Jeep Wrangler. Yeah, that's a 7.0-liter V8.

"Did you really fit that in this Wrangler?" I asked the man minding the stand for Crocker Off-Road Performance, which is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

"It didn't like it, but we did it," he replied.

Love the wheels & rubber; make mine a manual!

... accounting for aerodynamics top speed will be 100mph. Who cares how fast a Wrangler can go, let's see it crawl over some stuff without breaking drive shafts, axles, etc. then i'll be impressed that they build a capable Jeep.

I've had a Wrangler over 120mph several times... with a 4.0L... and a few minor mods... I also drove it over 100mph for ~4 hrs straight (there were few other cars around). Thank God for radar detectors...and luck...

I guess that just puts me in the insanely crazy club. OK, you can return me to my padded cell now... I'm better now.

As for the 7.0L HEMI... hey, it's got a LOT of torque, too, so it does have some off-road function. It kinda reminds me of those crazy vertical hill climbers you see on TV.

If you want really crazy fast...check out this 900HP "world's fastest JEEP" .
Only 1.3 sec from 0-60mph; 1/4 mi in <9sec @151mph!

For those who understand, no explanation is necessary. For those who need an explanation, no understanding is possible.

I couldn't decide on just one word so I'm going with two. Stupid. Pointless.

If they did put a manual transmission in it, they might loose customers because it would be more difficult to get it over the speed bumps at Burger King . Only kidding, please don't spam me.
