Locker question. Help!

With both hubs unlocked and the transfer case front wheel drive in neutral, try turning the axles at the axle U joint. They should turn freely. Then, engage the lockouts one at a time and try turning the axles. They should not turn. If they do, your lockout hubs are bad.
 
All of you guys are so awesome! Thank you all very much. I happen to just sit out on the front bumper and noticed the front shackles squeak pretty bad. Maybe it was just that I was hearing. Who knows lol first time out every little creak sounds like the whole thing is falling apart

Soak the shackle bushings with silicon spray, and see if that is what you are hearing.
Can you post a sound clip of this noise you speak of?

I will do that. I won't have time to go back where I was but next time I am out and hear it I will post a video.
