<snip> It's the end of the road for the machine that you can actually own. If you can't take it apart put it together and keep it running all by yourself, you do not own it. You are just borrowing it from the car manufacturer, mechanic and eventually the scrap dealer.:cool:
<snip>
Now the future of an American legend is in the hands of what may be, arguably, the worst Automobile manufacturer on the planet. :(

I agree 100% about the American legend and how ownership of a car is now a myth.

The only thing I'd suggest is that instead of people borrowing the car, I think there's merit in the notion that the car is borrowing the person named on the registration and/or title.

Manufacturers today want to sell lease agreements and monthly payments.

That's indentured servitude and I want no part of it. Wait, that's not true. I want to be on the receiving side of money, not the side that is in a constant state of controlled money hemorrhage.

The resale value on my CJ5, TJ and Cherokee just went up again.
Hang on on to what you have and keep it in good shape.

I get it, I'm a Jeep owner and ad-block detectors kinda stink but ads are needed on this site. This is a CJ site, all the ads are set for autos (some times others get through.) I cannot make them just for Jeeps but I try.

Please allow ads as they help keep this site running by offsetting the costs of software and server fees.
