What would you chrome on your jeep

Speaking of glare, Does anyone’s Jeep windshield project a glare off the windshield straight ahead when driving towards the sun ? Talking about to cars or other objects in front of you. I believe it has a lot to do with the flat windshield. Almost like a ray beam

Yes. In some circumstances (sun angle, etc) I do get that. And I also agree with the flat windshield theory.

The Laredo grill cover (chrome) is even worse than the windshield. Personally not a big fan of chrome, although I like stainless for hardware that would otherwise rust and bleed out on your paint (essentially hood and windshield hinges). Also stainless done right can be as bright as chrome, and when it dulls after a few years, just some time with buffing wheels and you're back to perfect shine.

I have the SS hood hinges also. AMC forgot to paint under neath OEM ones.

I remember drooling over all the chrome in the old JC Whitney catalogs as a kid, thinking one day I'd get every piece they offered

If I recall correctly, they even had a hood prop rod

Chrome was a big thing in the early 80s...every featured rig in Four Wheeler magazine was bedecked in it

Ah the good ole days with catalogs. I had many JCW catalogs. Even Sears had a few Jeep items in their catalogs. My idea for recycling those catalogs was giving them to other Jeepers.
