Quadratrac

Quadratrac
I have a '79 CJ7 with I6 258, TH400, and Quadratrac. It is a 3:54 ratio. It also had 32x11.5x15 on it when I bought it.

That one is a little different from mine:

Here is how the vacuum lines run:

Hope this helps. Don't forget to check the chain. Here is an example:

Thank you so much for this diagram. I also have an auto '79 CJ7 with the Quadratrac.

I need to replace the blower motor resistor, of which the top screw is blocked by the glove box. The glove box through which the emergency switch is mounted. According to the diagram I just need to remove the lock screw in the knob and pull the knob and lock nut & washer, correct? I'm not a pro and I don't want to eff up my jeep.

Yes, you can remove the nut and pull the vacuum switch out of the back. Double check the softness of the rubber vacuum line. If it is stiff and brittle, you may need to replace it.

I get it, I'm a Jeep owner and ad-block detectors kinda stink but ads are needed on this site. This is a CJ site, all the ads are set for autos (some times others get through.) I cannot make them just for Jeeps but I try.

Please allow ads as they help keep this site running by offsetting the costs of software and server fees.
