Before I go tearing into replacing my original seats with different original seats, can anyone tell me if those are normal bolts or hex head screws that hold the seats to the frame?

On my '86, they are a 3/8"-16 thread and should be at least a grade 5 hardness. A hex head with a flat washer should be fine.

Thank you. I went back out this morning and looked over the new-to-me seats and found where I could see threads in there so you're exactly right.

My '85 use'd 3/8X16thd hex head grd-5 bolts.
Hint-when you reinstall the bolts. Use anti-seize on the threads.
