Information New Automatic Enhanced Site Search Installed.

Just installed a new enhanced automatic search system that automatically helps you find topics and similar items as you create a thread. Now similar threads that correspond to what you are looking at is shown below the current content.

For the best way to search, don't forget the "Advanced Search" function. It allows you to narrow down your search terms and results.

Added a new 'Suggested Auto Complete' function for the main search box.

A quick list of new search options.

Option to extend search syntax to permit;

• + signifies AND operation
• | signifies OR operation
• - negates a single token
• " wraps a number of tokens to signify a phrase for searching
• * at the end of a term signifies a prefix query
• ( and ) signify precedence
• ~N after a word signifies edit distance (fuzziness)
• ~N after a phrase signifies slop amount
• In order to search for any of these special characters, they will need to be escaped with \

Some examples: = denotes what to put in search box

• To search for CJ5 AND CJ7 AND CJ8 = CJ5 +CJ7 +CJ8
• To search for CJ5 OR CJ7 OR CJ8 = CJ5 |CJ7 |CJ8
• To search for CJ5 AND CJ7 NOT CJ8 = CJ5 +CJ7 -CJ8
• To search for CJ5 OR CJ7 NOT CJ8 = CJ5 |CJ7 -CJ8
• To search for the exact phrase - where are you from = "where are you from"
• To search for the prefix - clutch = clutch*
