Hi all, I am looking for any information possible on how to tell the difference between years of Meyers Cabs (Pre 55 vs 55-75 vs 76 and newer).

I have the opportunity to purchase a Meyers Cab that looks to be in pretty good shape, unfortunately the serial number is 95% missing from the sticker (only a single number, 3, is still identifiable).

I have read that one difference could be the slope of the windshield, thus affecting the length of the roof? Is there anything else that can help ID the year variations? Possibly the shape of the doors / door hinge placement? Etc...?

This is a pic of the sticker and one of the doors:

I'd drive the jeep over and just test fit everything, but alas, it's not currently in shape to make the trip.

I thank you all for any information you can educate me with.

76 and up frames are tilted back 1" more than 75 & earlier frames and have a different radius at the top of the frame. Early is flat and later has a curve. Early wiper motor outside of the frame and late inside.
Doors look newer I'll look at my 62 tomorrow and take a few pictures close up in the meantime here's what I have. What are they asking for the top?5074b6d6b27af301be27cba6656f2a71.jpgb84f2c31689aaf1ffaf84566c44fb732.jpg5ea897d5999fa00447b21167eebcf9c9.jpgb0c9fd85d155ff59006a9ecba6cbd4a6.jpg3b57f2da1e90919b9da16883c3acdafb.jpg0fa91110242bdac86d9001c5244e74e6.jpg194e098b9271bfff96cd5585b662e32a.jpg

Thank you for the pics!

They're asking 1$k or obo. So far this is the least expensive I've seen in the CO area for a 'complete' Meyer's Cab. Every other cab (within reasonable distance to me) has been missing various pieces of glass, or doors, or are heavy rusted / have dents not to mention most times more expensive even with the missing pieces.

Thank you very much for the info!

I know I'm not super close but I'd sell you the whole Jeep for 1,500

The rear of the door window is sloped in the OP pics which matches my '76/later top. Not a guarantee of vintage though.

I ended up turning down the Meyer Cab due to all the questions / uncertainty I had. However, I did just pick up a Koenig 520 Jiffy Cab for a good price. :)

The one I posted is a 62

How much? That model looks like mine id love to know what it's worth.

Post up some pictures when you get it installed if you would. Glad you found something.

I paid $300 for it, unfortunately it did not include the hardware (just the doors and roof) so now I'm in a hunt for pictures / information on the mounting hardware / hinges so I can duplicate / create some. I've found very Limited info so far in searching the web.
