The keys got left in the run position overnight on my 79’ CJ5, and of course the battery is dead this morning. I have it on a 2 amp charge now, but I’ve heard that that’s how a ignition module gets fried. Have you guys heard that? Hoping that’s not the case today.

It can. It can also burn up the coil.

Hope not. I just put in a nice new MSD Blaster coil.

Didn't say would said can. I left mine on before and all I had to do was charge the battery. Sometimes you get lucky
