My fiance got tired of all the excess wiring under the hood of our 83 CJ7, so today was cleaning day lol. We got the jeep from his uncle who put a chevy ignition module and distributor in it, and the guy that he got the jeep from had rebuilt the engine and put a different, non computer controlled carb on the 4.2. All of the emissions stuff has been removed as well. In all of this changing, the original wiring harness had just been left there, all plugs just hangin around and lookin all crappy. On with the pictures...

I also painted and installed the dash. Looks 100 times better!

Any chance you could rotate the air cleaner a bit to point back to the left a bit? If so you could get a new boot and reconnect to that rectangular piece behind the headlight so your engine would get air from ahead of the radiator and not from behind it...cooler air.
Just an idea.
