It's a seal. You have to pull the pinion. Most auto parts stores should have it in stock. Just be sure to torque the pinion nut back down to 200-220 ft lbs.

Couldn’t the leak be coming from the splines? In which case, remove yoke, clean splines with solvent, and reassemble using some sealer?
 
Usually the pinion seal blows for a reason. Mostly the breathing tube this is attached to the top of the housing, will be stopped up. Everytime i have had to replace the seal the vent tube was plugged up.
