I am trying to find a used CJ5 tub (original) that I can replace my thrashed fiberglass pan with. Problem is, I'm not sure what alternate years can be subbed in. Can I use the CJ5 pans from 76-80s CJ5s?

Thanks for any info that will make finding a good parts jeep easier.

here is the easiest way to find parts that I know of...

jeep, mud, cj5, on craigslist

You can go to the home page and enter whatever search string you want pretty easy, too!

I search out to 325 miles, since thats as far as I want to travel in a weekend to go get parts!

I actually may have hit the jackpot, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet. There are two fairly local CJ5s local that have 'supposedly' nearly perfect bodies with either no or no-go motors... both for < $1000. Didnt plan on having to get a parts jeep, but I think $1000 for an original steel tub is worth it over a $4000 drop on a repro tub.
