Cleaning your Best Top

How do you properly clean a Best Top? Mine is in decent shape, but the door and sides need cleaning. I've used various cleaners but they seem to be doing absolutely no good on desert pin striping (largely the oils in desert plants). Before moving up the ladder to stronger and nastier cleaners I thought it would be good to check in with folks that just might have the answer to my question.

I think the best thing for the pin striping on the windows and doors is Lemon Pledge. For the rest of the top I just use Armor-all. It might just be time for a new top.

No real holes, no new top ...... yep, cheap cheap cheap...

Just had a reputable upholstery shop do some work for me and the guy there told me is use DAWN dish soap and a toothbrush. We keep the Dawn foaming soap for soaking so its on hand already. Another thing to try is believe it or not, magic eraser! They work really well just keep them soaking wet. Both items may be under your sink and the dollar store sells them too. Good luck!

Yep, got'em. Probably best to try'em before it gets warm outside .... remember we are in Tucson so cool and warm for me might be different from cool and warm for you. It's darned cool here today, it only got in the 70's.

Hedge let me know how that does. I just came into a used top and doors and other than it being really dirty and material seems to be real dry it has no scraches or tears in it what so ever. I hope to clean it up and put some life in it.
