I'm building a 2004, Wrangler. Picked it up for a good Price with a blown motor. I have a drive train to put in, small block should be 400, 400 transmission, 203 transfer case. Axials are 44 front full with, 12 bolt rear full width with locker.

The plan is a single-sided wishbone-type front suspension, 4 linked rear suspension. I want to stretch the front about 6 inches in the back as much as I can without getting into the gas tank.

So, to my question, a rough measurement of the links puts me at 55 inches front and just under 50 inches rear. I'm using 2 inch quarter wall, DOM. 55, seems long to me, is there such a thing as too long of a link?

Any input or direction to threads addressing this is appreciated.

Trying to post some pics but not working for me right now.

The proper length can only be determined by doing all the math needed to establish your COG , Squat Ratio, Roll Axis and a host of other things. Link suspension systems are not for everyone and should be thoroughly understood prior to going down that path otherwise the results can be not worth the time spent.
