I just installed a new one from Morris 4x4 and realized I installed it backwards. It seems to be the same though so will it really matter? I have the grease niple towards the outside but in the illistrations, it is on the inside near the transmission. I just hate to have to redo it unless it matters.

Any thoughts?

Can you post a picture?
When you press the clutch it should push down on the linkage. That should cause the shift fork to press. Is it still working like that?

How do you decide it's backwards?:D

It works fine but the grease nipple it on the other side. So, it is installed reverse compared to the diagram. It still shifts smoothly though.

So the tab that should be for the clutch fork linkage is connected to the pedal linkage and vice versa.
I think the size of those tabs is the same. I don't think it makes much difference except for the grease fitting. Can you still get a grease gun in there?

Yeah, that is it. It actually makes more sense to install it like I have. It's is easier to get to the gease nipple.
