Interior 79 CJ5 driver seat mod

Hello, I have a 79 CJ5 with stock seat frame and want to cut out the wheel well on drivers side to get the seat to go back further. I'm wondering will the seat track move back a little further with the removal of the section of the wheel well or do I have to move or modify the track ?

I understand from others who have done this that there is ample "slide" in the driver's side adjustment to move back a few inches once the fender well is notched out.
