Alright so I was recently given a 74 CJ5. We have brought it back to good condition. However there are still no doors and just a bikini top. I am a music guy though, and having no stereo is a bummer for me. I want to know if anyone has any suggestions for a good inexpensive way to put in a stereo. Is there a way to take a stereo out easily? Or a way to mount speakers to a bar so that they lock? Or can you hook your ipod up to an amp like the pyle mp3 amp? I am open to any and all suggestions, i am just trying to figure out the best way to go about doing this.

There are a couple of companies (Tuffy comes to mind) that make security consoles, where you can mount a stero system in it then theres a cover that locks over the stereo. Also keeps the dash a bit cleaner. Don't know about speakers, but there's got to be some system out there to mount the to the roll bar and keep them secure.

there's a cool lookin' old stem style available on ebay. It looks old school until turned on, then it changes into a new updated digital reciever. It has an aux. port for mp3 or such device. From a distance no one would ever guess.
