So I was at the local boneyard grabbing parts for another car and came across a 93 wrangler. I’m in need of a flywheel so I took a look and trans has been pulled but flywheel is still there. For twenty bucks. Not sure if it will be the same as my 85 CJ7. Back of block looked the same.

If you cross reference them at any auto parts website, they have different part numbers. I doubt that they are interchangeable. The bolt patterns look the same, but I assume that the balance is probably different. Not a definitive answer, but maybe someone with more hands on experience will chime in.

Nope. Discovered they are different. Should’ve thought to cross reference the numbers. I get a thirty day return for store credit so it’s all good. Thanks for the reply

X2-Not the same and not interchangeable at all.

Ring gear matches up. Part numbers cross reference. Which is a good thing.

I get it, I'm a Jeep owner and ad-block detectors kinda stink but ads are needed on this site. This is a CJ site, all the ads are set for autos (some times others get through.) I cannot make them just for Jeeps but I try.
