I bought this jeep in 1987 , right after I wrecked my 1973 CJ5. Bought it from the original owner, when I was 27, I am now 61. It's got the original Buick 225 v6 odd-fire engine, T14 3 speed, with a T18 transfer case, warn over drive. It had 4:88's, now has 4:56's. With 15 x 31 wheels and tires , and 2 and a half Rancho leaf spring lift. I have a full top and doors, and a bikini half top. I've got a full cage roll bar, but it's a little bit crowded with that in. It did have a 8000 pound pto Ramsey when I got it. And I've still got the stock swing out spare tire rack. It spent a lot of those 33 years hiding under boxes and garage junk, so its now time for me, before I give it to my 31 year old son, to keep in the family. Because we are a "jEEP" family.

Thank you. I bought it when I was 27. Now I finally have some money to put in it. The only problem is I feel like I'm getting in a young man's jeep, now? Lol. That's ok, my son will probably end up with it, JEEP FAMILY we are!

I bought mine new at 27 also

Finally the beach!Lol.

First time I've gotten to the beach with it, even before I got it painted.

Time to put some doors on it, full soft top is next. It's getting to cold without them.

Great Jeep. I also have a "new" 37 year old Jeep, an '84 CJ7. Got the '84 since that's the same year I got married. Now I'll remember my anniversary. :)Two years in the workshop redoing it, and now loving the great times. I live in southern Texas, so little need of a top or doors here most of the year. I have them, but they rarely get put on.
