I need to know what bodys will fit on my CJ5 jeep. Looking for a used body. I dont care about keeping it origanial. Just want to drive it and have fun.

Well obviously there are lots of replacement tubs, in steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and even kevlar. Shell Valley makes a great fiberglass option in the $2,100 range. MD Juan has some great steel bodies, but in the $3K and up range. Willys Overland is probably some of the best, and offers other options like undercoating, and pre-cut holes in the firewall and rear for lights, wiring, steering column, etc. But those are all new and pricey.

For used bodies, it does depend on the year frame you have. The '71 and older frames had a channel iron type crossmember the grill bolted to and also the mount for the bellcrank for the Ross steering. '72 and newer used the flat front crossmember also as the grill mount. The '72 and newer also didn't have the mount on the frame for the brake master cylinder as these did not use through-the-floor pedals but hanging pedals. Also I believe beginning in '70 they removed the diagonal braces at the back for the rear fuel tank (no longer under the front seat).

VintageJeepParts.com has parts to repair an existing body, like floor pans, fenders, windshield frames, etc. So maybe repair what you got already.

On the other hand, other body types might also work on a Jeep frame. Here's a vette that might be fun.

I remember back in the early 80s seeing a couple of those. A Vet, El Camino and maybe a Chevelle. At the time I was thinking it was pretty crazy, but now would probably be pretty unique.
