Being the frugal person I am (some might say cheap) I couldn't pay the high prices some folks wanted for a simple tool like the proportioning valve tool needed to bleed my brakes. I looked at all the images online and said to my self, I can make one of those. I found a "U" clip at the hardware store, took a chain saw sharpening burr on a dremel tool and ended up with this;

I haven't had a chance to try it yet but it looks like it will work.
It was a 5/16-18-LONG-"u" clip that cost .70 cents.

The screw was from my junk hardware box.

Trust me-It'll work.
Been use'n pretty much the same deal for almost 30 yrs.

Nice, I had one made, but my brake tools got ripped off.
There is another post with the earlier valve.
So now this forum has both.
Now must find that can of clips.
