Three recently announced promotions will keep Jeeps in your face Within the past month, DaimlerChrysler has announced no less than three promotions that will ensure that the Jeep brand is visible on television and video screens around the world. First up - how about driving a Wrangler Unlimited up a mountain. In snow. At the X Games. Driven by X Games Athletes. Then back down again. Here's a snippet from the press release: While most of the action at this past weekend's ESPN Winner X Games was focused on coming down Buttermilk Mountain, one event - the second annual Jeep® Adventure Comp-featured athletes rallying Jeep Wrangler Unlimited up Buttermilk Mountain. Tripping the stop watch with a steep hill climb up Tiehack run, snowboarders, skiers, dirt bike jumpers and snowmobile racers all hammered the pedal and put the Jeep vehicles to an extreme test--driving up the side of snow-covered Buttermilk Mountain, then back down through a slalom course. The run not only let the drivers prove their ability, but also gave the vehicles a chance to show off their Jeep Trail Rated capability. Next up - design a skate park, win a Jeep Liberty Renegade. Here's a snippet: Activision, Inc. and the Jeep brand® have teamed up on a unique online promotion that gives gamers a chance to tout their design skills by entering the Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 Jeep “Rail Rated” Contest and Sweepstakes. Beginning February 2 through March 15, 2005, consumers have the opportunity to design the sickest skate park for the chance to win the ultimate “Rail Rated” prize package of skateboarding gear and apparel. For a chance to win a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade visit www.thug2online.com/railrated to enter the sweepstakes. Finally, NBC television and Jeep are teaming up once again for "Jeep World of Adventure Sports" a not-quite-weekly show focusing on adventure sports. Some sports scheduled to be shown include motocross, mountain-based adventure races, extreme waterskiing, and big-vertical drop extreme skiing.
