Chrysler Plans to Reduce Product Line

| In the Wall Street Journal their article indicates that in a few years, the three brands together will probably offer a total of 15 or 20 -- roughly six cars, six trucks and six sport-utility vehicles. The big key is eliminating the duplicate vehicles that are in the 3 lines.
For example, the Liberty and the Nitro are duplicates as well as the Compass and Caliber. You can see some obvious chopping, but which one? Will this mean the JT Wrangler pickup truck is out? Will Jeep switch to being exclusive off-road vehicles, Dodge being trucks, and Chrysler just the car line? It will be interesting to see what happens.
