| As if we can't make this story even more confusing, there's a new chapter in the Wranlger's quest to be the 2007 truck of the year.
For those of you who missed the first part of the story, while the Wrangler was one of the nominies, it didn't make the cut to be one of the 3 finalists for the North American Truck of the Year award, given out at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.
Well, the lack of a spot in the finals for the Wrangler was apprantly quite a sore spot for the 49 automotive journalists who get to cast a vote for the award. The Chevrolet Silverado, Ford Edge and Mazda CX-7 are finalists for the 2007 North American Truck of the Year award. But they might have to slide over to make room for a fourth candidate.
The 49 automotive journalist jurors are revoting on the candidates for the truck award because one candidate -- the redesigned Jeep Wrangler -- was left off the ballot. The original voting for the award closed Dec. 6.
Jurors are being asked to revote for all candidates in the truck category. Each juror has 25 points to distribute among the candidates. The maximum possible score is 10, and only one 10 score can be awarded. Check out the entire article at AutomotiveNews.com (registration required).
