DaimlerChrysler AG may build a new Jeep pickup truck, the first in several years. The company revealed sketches of the Gladiator, a prototype Jeep pickup, and a sports car concept called the Chrysler Firepower. The company will officially unveil both vehicles in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Jeep's last pick-up, the Comanche, was discontinued after the 1992 model year. The company produced a a pick-up called the Gladiator in the 1960s. The Gladiator concept is called a "Flexible Utility Truck," according to the company, and features a expandable truck bed and a removable rear seat cushion.
