Production Name for Compass Concept Car? Limited Edition Tomb Raider Wrangler?

A major print auto magazine says it knows what the Compass Concept vehicle will be called, are limited edition Tomb Raider Wranglers really limited?

One of our readers sent us in this quote from the most recent print issue of Motor Trend magazine regarding the Jeep Compass Concept vehicle:

Jeep will name the production version of its Compass urban offroader concept the Scout. It will appear in the 2006 model year on the same platform as the next-gen Chrysler PT Cruiser, which will be based on the Mitsubishi Lancer's foundation. Luckily for Jeep, International Harvester no longer uses the Scout name.

Can anyone confirm that "Scout" will be the official name?

Limited Edition Tomb Raider Wrangler?

A reader sent us this email about his recent purchase...

I recently purchased a Limited Edition Tomb Raider Rubicon. Apparently only 1,005 were built but I received #1,039. The dealer told me that they began with the number 1000 but this was proved wrong when I saw one on ebay numbered 0010. I can't imagine that I was douped into buying a fake, seeing how this is certainly a TR Rubicon, bought new from a 5 star dealer. I just am curious if anyone knows how jeep numbered these vehicles and how many were ACTUALLY produced. Most I've seen are softops, but my came with a hardtop only. Perhaps that has something to do with it. I would appreciate any response to this because I am left wondering.

Can anyone provide any insight into this???
