From Chrysler's media-only blog
How many times have you all admonished car companies for not listening to consumers in deciding on design, features, pricing? The abacus won't help. The number's too high.
So, OK, we heard you, but more importantly, we heard consumers, and that's why we're launching our new "Listen to You" commercials on Feb. 3 as part of Chrysler's "New Day" promotion. We've also launched a new website: chryslerlistens.com. The animated "LIsten to You" spots features a young boy creating his own automotive company by listening to what people want.
We're also running eight vehicle-specific spots, "Blind Fold" for Jeep®. The overall theme of each is listening and giving customers more value.

![]() I've used the site to tell them:
1) drop the Compass 2) Cherokee-ize the Patriot 3) fuel economy without loss of off-road abilities is paramount See if anyone listens. I'm due for a new vehicle in 2011 or so. Let's see what's available. |

![]() So how can I let them know how badly I want to see a Gladiator or other Wrangler-based pickup? I hate pickups, too, to be clear. But I'd pony up for one of those, without a doubt.
I want to see some better miles to the gallon. Considering the projected mpg on the present line-up, I might as well just stick with my XJ, at least it's paid for. Can we stop courting the hipster, emo crowd with their denim leggings and bobbleheads and drop the dang Compass already? I agree, if we're going to have a Jeep that's sedan sized, give it some balls and some teeth. Lest we water down the very image that sells vehicles in the first place. Yeah, they listen; the question is to whom? |

![]() As far as Jeep goes I agree with the other post, Wrangler pickup (the Gladitor is my first choice) and diesels seem to be no brainers to everyone except Jeep. In addition the Compass should go away and every Jeep model should come with a Rubicon type package or trim level. If they can sell a high performance SRT Grand a Rubicon should just about sell itself. Factory lockers, skid plates, off-road tires and even rock rails should not be something buyers should have to add after the fact.

![]() Good idea to realize that you haven't listened to your customers in the past and want to correct it. Poor execution by having Chrysler employees looking confused and slightly unhappy to concede the new features customers are requesting. I'm sure the engineers and product planners are not the ones to blame for the lack of features in a vehicle. That's purely the bean counters and management who are trying to create a differentiation between trim levels and models.
This campaign is just more of the same by pushing features on people when they're really wanting other things like better MPG with fuel efficient engine choices. The previous comments are right. Why isn't the new 4door wrangler a diesel? Why aren't more vehicles using flex fuel? Where is the wrangler pickup variant? Why can't they design a passenger car that has the same bad ass attitude like the Hurricane concept? I would love to have a 4 door sedan type vehicle that had exposed rivets, serious fenders and an intimidating grille. Instead we get the curvy Compass that feels like it was made out of molten Barbie parts. --TKL |

![]() If they are really listening I have 2 things to say:
1) Wrangler based pick-up & 2) diesel option in all models |
