Have a few million dollars lying around? Like the Toledo, Ohio area? Then have we got the property for you. Seems that Chrysler hasn't been able to move the old Jeep factory property in the year or so that it's been on sale.
From The Toledo Blade:
"It's still on the market. We're still actively marketing it, and we'll entertain all offers," said Katie Hepler, a spokesman for Chrysler LLC, which owns the land. The asking price is $60,000 an acre for the whole parcel or $80,000 an acre if it is split up, according to commercial real estate experts.
The former factory produced its last Jeep Wrangler at the end of June, 2006. Over its nine decades of service, it produced an estimated 11 million vehicles, including tens of thousands of Jeeps for the U.S. military during World War II.

![]() "It's still on the market. We're still actively marketing it, and we'll entertain all offers..." WAIT! Didn't a Jeep spokesman just issue that exact same statement on the Commander? ![]() |

![]() Too bad Cerberus/Chrysler doesn't seize the opportunity to cough up a couple million to establish a (link:) JEEP Museum on that site. It's been bandied about in the past, but I think the most we ever got was a small (wimpy) exhibit in the (link:) Chrysler Museum...
Seems like a JEEP Museum would be pretty profitable. Imagine the Gift Shop revenues alone!! ![]() Hell, they spend more than a few million for a single "bug" ad on TV... ![]() |
