i think the graffics are a great idea, exept i think they could do a better job designing the graffix because theryre pretty tacky. i have never seen any jeep equipped so i guess some people think like i do. remember when the AMC CJ's had those skinny stripes? maybe you should put those on jeeps exept with little amercan flags in them. i think that would be cool.

I am sure that the graphics are removable, I've seen some other vehicles with something similiar and they look almost like static stickers or something...

I think Jeep should introduce the graphics packages of the AMC yesteryears. To me who owned 5 CJ's the ones with the grahpics packages were the best looking ones. True they are outrageous and unneeded but honestly its a jeep, big lift large tires, most would say everything about the average built up CJ is outrageous. When I repainted the Scrambler i have right now that was something that I wish i didn't have to give up, the graphics.

I think the Rubicon is a start, it has the cool graphics kinda on the hood i believe like old CJ's but you could do more. True you don't need the full hood eagles but you know a brown cj with the tan stripes they used to do looks cool.

Also on the TJ Rubicon, true it is a step in the right direction. On the lift issue you could fit 31's on a stock TJ. There will be rubbing though at full turn and when you hit bumps. Jeep knew that they only had to up the wrangler .2 inches to get the space that would cause it not to rub. Also take in mind for liablity issues Jeep will never produce a factory lifted vehicle that is more than .2 inch thicker spring spacers on the wrangler or the oh so weak up country packages that give you 1 inch if your lucky (they sag to stock height in about 2 years). With the brand image Jeep has they don't want a factory lifted rig that will give people that otherwise not be offroading a reason to do something stupid.

The Rubicon isn't about the lift or the MTR's (although those are nice tires 180 a pop). Its about the gearing and axles. Jeep built it knowing it was a better base to start a wrangler build up off of because it already has some of the thing most of those who offroad consider essential. So they knew we would through a 4 or 5 inch lift on it and we would be set because it already has low gears, 2 D44's, and 2 lockers.

I just was thinking last night about how much I missed the XJ and I thought of a nice model line solution that all you KJ lovin freaks out there would apprciate. You keep the TJ and the KJ the way they are, go ahead and stretch the WJ and (god forbid) ad the IFS since it seems unneed but unexscapeable, and reintroduce the ZJ as a cherokee. Think about it. I know its not a XJ but it would be about as good as you could get without being one. The 93 ZJ is the suspension the 97 XJ should have got when it was redesigned. If the 97+ XJ's had been 4 coil suspension i think there would have been a longer model run. It does ride better and is better recieved. And lets face it, if you can get a wielder you can install a 4 coil setup on your own XJ in a weekend without heavy modification. So there is the Griff's ideal everybody's happy including DCX Jeep line. Think about it.

cares. As evidenced by all of the Wranglers
(and other vehicles) driving around with tacky
graphics, they must appeal to somebody. I
am a bit of a minimalist. No stripes, no
graphics, and no chrome on my TJ, thank you.
But, not everyone thinks like me (thank God),
so if DC can sell a few more Jeeps, I say fine.

Well, I think these new graphic packages might be usefull for any Jeeps that are in a parade!

Seriously, I think this is just an extension of the Jeep Liberty ads, that play up the name "Liberty" and show it climbing the Statue itself. Given the current patriotic mood in the USA, Jeep probably wants a piece of the action.

The graphic packs don't do much for me...no offence intended, as I am Canadian. However, to each their own...and if someone likes the graphics, then I say go for it!

Canadians aren't big into flag waving anyway, except at Canada vrs USA or Canada vrs Russia Hockey games, other sporting events, our annual Canada Day celebration on July 1, and rally's to prevent Quebec from seperating :-) So, Jeeps outfighted up here with Maple Leaf flag style graphics would surely not sell.

Anyways...for the most part, Canadians do percieve Americans as serious flag wavers! Nothing wrong with that, and we respect your patriotism. We simply are a bit more reserved when it comes to that sort of thing.

How come everything Jeep does always get critized?
The fact that Jeep is making the Rubicon after making the Liberty should be seen as a good sign. It shows that someone there still cares about offroading. At least your done comparing the merits of such important issues such as the shape of the headlights. We all know that matters on how capable a Jeep is. Also why do you people care about what other people use their Rubicons for? Jeep has a reputation for being a symbol of freedom. Think about it.

Here's a idea for a package, offer the "Rubicon" package across the whole line. If Jeep wants to appeal so much to 4 differently named generations that were born from 1970 to 1985 (does any one know that a generation is really 20 years by definition) they would know they would buy a Rubicon package on any Jeep, Yes God forbid the Liberty.

These new generations love being able to say I own a Jeep. They would buy the package not for the added benifits that those of us who actually Jeep would buy it for (Front and Rear D44's, 2 Lockers, Low Gearing, small lift) but just to say I own a Rubicon wrangler. So while it benifits all the 20 year old frat boys with internet companies by letting them get swoon in all the young ladies because the have a Rubicon Wrangler,it gives us who appriciate Jeeps for what they USED to be made a package to build off of. God knows I would love to have 2 D44's in my new XJ.

So yea for the patriotic stickers put really get a package that would sell across the board. Jeep needs to tell the marketing department to think not make video games, although it does look like a cool game.

P.S. Xterra I hope you weren't to confused with talk of D44's, Lockers, and Low Gear Ratio's. None of which the Xterra has. Don't mention the factory locker, it is not worthy of the locker name, nice try but no cigar.
