Amid all the poor sales, rumors, and controversy surrounding Chrysler and the Jeep brand lately, there is a bit of good news.
Consumer Reports recently gave the Patriot a "Good" rating in their front crash test. Check our Chrysler's weekly "Under the Pentastar" for all the info.

![]() CR has no real interest in off-road. There is none to speak of around DC. They trashed the new Liberty, and we think it's the nicest Jeep we've ever had. They complained about the tranny, but probably didn't keep it until the break-in program changes to normal at 1500 miles. I was complaining up to that point, then it miraculously smoothed out, as I was told it would do. CR buys vehicles new, and probably never got to the point that the car was broken in.

![]() I've been developing an alternative to CR"s reliability survey, here:
http://www.truedelta.com/reliability.php The Patriot and Compass have had repair rates near the average so far. We update our results four times a year, so they tend to be much more up-to-date than CR's. The next update is scheduled for November 12, and will cover through the end of September. |

![]() A good rating [on an American car] from Consumer Reports makes me suspect! You have to consider the source. And they suck.
