SalesChrysler may have employye discounts too

In the Automotive news website (autonews.com), there was a blurb that Chrysler may offer the 'employee' discount on their vehicles to all consumers if GM extends their plan next month. Might be a way to get a good price on a 2005 Jeep.

The Commander is the first Jeep that I have really gotten excited about in some time.
The really great thing is that you can get a 4X4 for under $30,000! The pricing is more a less that of the Grand Cherokee.
Thank you DC for not getting greedy and and inflating the price for the cool(retro 80's XJ) styling and the two extra seats.
I will be buying one.

I've always been a Land Rover Discovery fan, but never bought one because of their huge reliability problems. It seems that my favorite brand has come up with a vehicle that appeals to me , both in form and reliability ( better than LR and i'm familiar with the product).I really like the roof line. I've been diving jeeps since 1986 ( 2 YJs,1 XJ, and now a TJ ) and I think I'll be able to convince my wife to trade the Xterra( family hauler) for the commander.

Hey what do you know? It more or less looks like a XJ. I guess Jeep realized it screwed up when it got rid of the Cherokee, so now they qasi reincarnated it as the Commander.
