![]() Sweet!
I like it a lot. I won't go as far as saying that Jeep's Wrangler has been one-upped. But this little Hummer will compete in the market for sure.....depending on its pricing. At the very least this shows that Hummer (GM) is wanting to get into the game and Chrysler will most likely have to respond accordingly. A bit of competition will likely yield even more interesting Jeep products for consumers. |

![]() Going after other markets got us the Compass. Sometimes you don't need to step outside of the things you do well.
I'll admit -albeit begrudgingly- I like the back view. Front looks flocking oogly. But like the man said, it's hard to build something that doesn't look like a Jeep ripoff when that's all you've ever done to begin with. It is almost -but not quite- the same sort of similarity between the M151 and the M38A1. I don't think Jeep needs to worry. This won't challenge a Wrangler. However, I think it will help raise the bar competition-wise. It might even prompt Jeep to greenlight the Renegade concept. And a Gladiator concept as well as a JT. And then pigs will fly out of my-- Nevermind.... Good call on that Camaro!! Jayziss, will it ever see the light of day? I wouldn't expect to see the HX any time soon. |

![]() The Isuzu distant sibling seems to be the wierd looking "Vehicross"... which disappeared in 2001. Interestingly, GM & Isuzu do have close collaberations. This looks like they took a Vehicross and boxed it in with flat armor plates!
For example, GM's inline-5 was originally developed for Isuzu, but they ultimately balked at it, so GM put it in the H3 instead. Inside info. ![]() Like some of the posters said, GM will hose it up by charging way too much $$. I notice they don't list a STICK for this one either... though the H3 does have a manual tranny available. Looking at GM's soncept-to-market time for the new Camaro, expect to see the HX sometime in 2015! ![]() |

![]() Let 'em build it. It will be at least 2x the cost of a Rubi, most will be sold to urban pavement warriors who will bling them to within and inch of their lives, with giga watt sound systems that will pump out only thumping base tracks as they cruise along on gold plated rims illuminated by flashing disco lights mounted underneath the lowered frame.
And when they actually try to get off the pavement (other than parking on the grass in front of their time share) , somebody with a Jeep will be there to pull the wundercar and the pathetic driver from the mud. |

![]() It's hard to come out with something original and separate from Jeep when you try to build a direct competitor to Jeep based in a vehicle lineup who's original design appearance was built by Jeep LOL

![]() Let's see...
High reving V6 with no guts on the low end Heavy All wheel drive, weak! IFS, even weaker! FAKE air drop hooks on the hood, blocking most of the view from the golf cart size windshield. ... i don't think Jeep has anything to worry about. This Hummer, like others is as much competition as a yugo. |

![]() That will never see production in that form... complete lack of roll cage to protect the rear passengers means it will not pass current Federal safety regulations.

![]() As much as I love my Wrangler, I welcome the Hummer competion. Jeep needs a swift kick in the a$$. Maybe now they will look into diesel Wranglers and better gas engines.
I haven't given up on Jeep, but they need more incentives on the innovation department (Build the Gladiator/JT!) ![]() |

![]() Not sure I'd want to ride in the back w/o a cage over my head.
Targeting Jeeps...yep. Full time 4WD...bummer. Only auto tranny...bummer. Lockers...sweet Reminiscent of the Willys II comcept http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/pic.php?imagenum=5&carnum=1092 With the top on, it's a fastback style. Wh will fit in the back seat? Remember, it's just a concept, like the Hurricane. it may never see production. And if it does, the JK will still sell better. |

![]() HAHA - even the Hummer people over on that HummerForums site are arguing about how much it looks like a Jeep knock-off. Great job, GM! Even your faithful realize that you can't come up with anything original.
