As you've no doubt noticed already, we've modified the layout of JeepNewsNow.com this morning. By locating both sidebars on the right-hand side of the page, we've made room for a larger ad to run on top of the columns.
We've been told that this ad format is highly prized by advertisers on quality sites like ours, so we're giving it a try. We're hoping that it's not too intrusive. Let us know what you think.

![]() Thanks for all the comments on the new layout. I figured sidebars on the right would elicit some comments. For the record, I choose to put them on the right for 2 main reasons:
1. right-handed sidebars are indeed a current design trend in modern web sites - mainly blogs 2. I wanted to ensure that users with small monitors would be able to see all of the main content without scrolling horizontally. -mike |

![]() The new layout is good and is typical for this type of site.
A lot of the big blog sites (engadget.com, autoblog.com, gigaom.com) use this approach to column placement. The english language is designed to be read from left to right and people typically webpages from left to right so why not put the main content of the site... on the LEFT and the extra stuff on the RIGHT. It just makes sense. The new layout works just fine for me. |

![]() Mike, the format change looks OK to me, always open to try something different. I recently drove an export version of the 2007 Wrangler with the diesel engine. What a sweet combination with the automatic transmission and the power seemed adequate for highway speeds. The torque curve is much better than the 3.8L and I would guess it would be great in FWD low range. Guess we will have to wait to see if DCX is serious about improving the current Wrangler engine situation.

![]() You usually see this sort of thing with the menu and ads on the left and the content on the right. This way is kind of a left-handed way of doing it.
