 New Wrangler Color and Equipment Changes (Updated) |
A reader just sent us a couple of links to some forum posts on JK Forum that show one of the new colors and some equipment changes for the 2009 Wrangler.
This post shows a bunch more photos of the Wrangler in "Sunburst Orange". It's less orange than I thought it would be, but pretty nice nonetheless.
This post shows a new storage net and tray for the front console as well as new location for the rear hitch. There are some other equipment changes mentioned as well as some photos.
UPDATE: 8/11/08 - photos of the Wrangler in Deep Water Blue have been posted as well.

Re: New Wrangler Color and Equipment Changes Sorry, but the plastic "silver" middle part of the front bumper just looks like crap on the 2008-9 models. Looks cheap and crappy in person.

Re: New Wrangler Color and Equipment Changes Meh, I'm disappointed in the color. I'm sure it'll look good (better) in person, but I was hoping for... ORANGE! Like the orange used on late model TJs, or maybe the metallic burnt orange used on XJs for only like 2 years in the late 90's.

Re: New Wrangler Color and Equipment Changes If you want to see how sunburst orange looks under the sun find a 2008 jeep patriot. The photos look gloomy, its a much brighter color in person.

Now, if they'd just offer some of those grey powdercoated 5-spoke wheels (the "Hulk" style, MOPAR calls 'em) and get rid of those cheap silver plastic overlays on the Sahara... Better yet, why not color match those overlays (front & rear bumper, steering wheel spokes, dash...) to match the paint? ...kinda like they did on the PT Cruiser... It shouldn't cost much... |
