The Camp Jeep page on the official Jeep web site is showing that Camp Jeep 2006 will be held August 10-12, 2006 at Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
Registration is not yet open, but the cost will be $345 for early birds ($395 if you procrastinate).
What is "Road America"? That's what we asked! From their web site:
Road America is a four-mile permanent road course with fourteen turns outlined by seven miles of access road on 626 acres of land. In addition to the original four-mile course, there is the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex. This .8 mile course with varying terrain and challenging turns (multiple configurations include an oval) challenges drivers in race-prepared karts and riders on Super Motards.

![]() Wow, was I surprised to see this. We live about an hour away on the other otherside of Lake Winnebago and went to Camp Jeep on the Road this past summer at Road America. Everyone there was very impressed with the facilities and the amount of people that came. I was hoping for another Camp Jeep on the Road but this blows me away. I only hope that they have a plan for the trails more than what was available for the CJOTR.

![]() At first I thought Elkhart Lake was going to be farther than Blakelee last year but after a mapquest
its actually closer. Baring some kind of setback, count me in. |

![]() That's great new about Camp Jeep coming to the Midwest! Only four hours away from me.
Hopefully "Road America" is "Off-Road America" also. We all know what our Jeeps can do on-road, It's off-road that they really shine. |
