We've raided the DaimlerChrysler archives once again to bring you this advertisement for the "Jeep":

The text from the ad reads as follows:

It was black....fixed up nice for the bush....and had these big Mad Dawg tires....haha. I traded my 81 Honda Prelude for it in 1986....and I just loved it. I never used it off road, but I was doing a lot of windsurfing at the time, and it was a cool looking rig with all my boards on it. It saw a lot of sunny days, and sandy beach for sure. Funny thing is....I had it till 1994 and I never took any pictures of it....too bad.

Jeep News is a magazine published by Daimler Chrysler and mailed out to Jeep owners in case your not familar with it. They had an article on Jeep collectibles. There are pictures of old Jeep ads, Jeep toys, and Jeep emblems. It's interesting to see the 60 year history of Jeep, and all the different vehicles they have produced. Also of interest is how they were marketed, and used both commercially and personally. Happy Jeepin!

I've seen CJ-3A's still with their original seats, leather, not canvas, as many people think. Leather is very tough-that is why the early CJ'S had them. In fact my leather seats are alot tougher than the previous Jeeps crappy fabric or vinyl seats. And yes my Cherokee Limited sees alot more off road than any of my other Jeeps-about 75% of its use is off-road.

I can't help but think they could sell a ton of these if they were to reprint them. I would like to have several to hang in my garage to go with my other auto memorabilia. I would guess they could sell more of these than some of the other crap they have in there ( trail mix and chocolate bars to name a couple ).
