A bunch of photos from the yet-to-be-announced Jeep concept Trailhawk have shown up on several web sites. All press releases and photos about the Trailhawk are not supposed to be released until the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) next month - but several sites have broken the embargo (thanks!).
There's a nice batch of photos up on Jalopnik as well as a nice writeup. The Trailhawk has a 3.0L diesel BLUETEC engine and is built on the Wrangler Unlimited platform. From the embargoed press release, "The stance is broad, and the wheels, pushed to the corners of the vehicle, are enclosed in robust flares dramatically offset from the body. Partly trapezoidal in shape, yet not asymmetrical, these angular, crisply-contoured wheel flares reinterpret one of Jeep's fundamental design cues."
Also check out the extensive Wrangler review on Jalopnik.

![]() Looks nice, would be good with a lift and some knobbly tyres.
But we all know that this will never happen and will be conquering supermarket car parks. And will be 4 inches off the ground. Whoopee. |

![]() The Trailhawk could be an outrageous off roader if indeed it is based on the Wrangler Unlimited platform. This means BODY-ON- FRAME, and that means serious chassis modifications and Rubicon underpinnings could be added or optional for the true 4x4 results. With a torquey 3.0 Diesel, this thing could be outstanding.

![]() I disagree. I think it will make a great cherokee! It's beautiful and I'd certainly buy one in a heartbeat.

![]() Interesting design. I am not sure that the rounded back matches the angular front. Now if they put something more angular (like the back end of the current generation WK) on there it could be pretty agressive looking. It is always interesting to look at these concepts to see what design cues might show up in future Jeep vehicles.
