MPH Magazine has some new camouflaged photos of the next-generation Wrangler. Nothing really new here - it looks like a couple of engineers were taking it out for a test drive out in the desert somewhere. Check out the pics.

 I'll take a jacket
I would appear the TK comes standard with black squares to wear over your face. Maybe they're square to match the square headlights

I will also admit I had a hard time looking at the TK pictures with that MPH advertisement at the side.

LOL ... my eyes wandered more than once.

But, I sure hope that "block" headed driver is pushing a six speed manual and crd. Fuel prices are going outta sight.

 pec = manualXJ?
I'm 97% sure we'll see the CRD in TK and TKL, and I hope manual is at least an option.

I've heard others on this site say they don't care what fuel prices are up to or about the gas mileage they get, but that's not me. I'm very concerned about the price of gas. Heck, I drive my car that gets 30mpg to work and I'm still concerned about the price of gas. I would really like to see the CRD become standard and see the gas V6 become an option for those who don't like a diesel. With the diesel 4cyl, why even offer a gas 4cyl? I'd think going back to 2 engine options would help keep costs down. But then again, I don't know everything.

By the way, it's $2.75/gal here ... in 2003 I saw prices less than $1.40 at times ... in 2002 when I graduated the price dipped below $1.00 for about a week.

Great idea ... offer only the crd and v6 with either 6 speed manual or automatic and delete the 4 cyl gasser. Given current fuel prices, the crd with manual tranny should indeed be the standard configuration.

A CRD manual should be a standard configuration. However, I would think that because of it's power and because people have been willing to pay extra for this option, we won't be seeing this happen anytime soon. Then again, if they'd put a good price on a standard Jeep diesel, I have a feeling dealerships would have more trouble keepin' them in stock than they had with the KJ CRD.

From what I can tell her headlights are nicely rounded. Or did you mean the Jeeps lights?
I actually decided that I needed to subscribe to MPH. LOL!
