 Wrangler Unlimited Production to Start July 17 |
This article from ToledoBlade.com mentions that Wrangler Unlimited production will start on July 17 at the new Toledo plant that will be completed this month.
Mr. Henneman said the company has told him the new complex will start making a redesigned Wrangler on July 17, beginning with four-door Unlimited versions, and the Nitro on Aug. 7 next door, along with continued Liberty production.

Re: Wrangler Unlimited Production to Start July 17 I was at my local dealer last Thursday, and they had just received a one page flyer on the Unlimited. Not much new information then we have learned from this board. He said DC is really holding back info on the 2007's and they are really pushing the dealers to clear the 06's. He said they normally start to get those flyers shortly before they can start to take orders. He wouldn't give up a copy of the flyer though... I tried as I wanted to scan it to post. It isn't much more then you can download off Jeep.com.
(One more thing... I was at the dealer to pick up a 2006 Grand Cherokee Limited for the wife. I love it! Handles beautifully. Next up is the JK for me.) |

Re: Wrangler Unlimited Production to Start July 17 Any idea when the RHD Wrangler Unlimited will begin Construction?Because I'm in the market for a new Jeep, as my 96 XJ is on its way out (Dam Coolant leak that no mechanic is able to locate??). At the moment I'm looking at a Jeep Kj in a renegade trim, but I'd really prefer the 2007 Wrangler unlimited. I wonder whether the current Jeep TJ’s LHD and RHD models are made at the same plant, so that when the production begins in Toledo, they will start making the right hand drive models at the same time?

"YES!" I can't wait, I read the article yesterday and went and talked to the local dealership sales manager. He heard that the "Launch" including media-blitz would begin in August. He indicated that usually predates the first units by 30-60 days. That's if you can beleive the sales guys. So here's a question to Jeep corporate - When are you going to put the CRD in the JKL? |
