CARSCOOP scored what appears to be the first promo photo of the 4-Door Wrangler.

The 4-door Wrangler is based on both the all-new 2007 Wrangler and the long-wheel-base 2006 Wranglers Unlimiteds.

According to Inside Line, both the 4-door Wrangler and the Patriot will debut this Wednesday at 1:25PM at the New York Auto Show.

(Thanks to everyone who submitted the link - serves me right for taking most of the weekend off!)

Good job DCX, I don't see a 4 wheel drive selector and the front view looks like there is no front diffy. Maybe 2wd is going to be available. But not for me. Show me a rubicon oil burner with a manual transmission and I'm a buyer. Leave out the diesel and I'll be looking at all the options.

All I need to know is when a diesel will be available in the US.

I am also looking forward to the aftermarket tops - slant back hard/soft tops, etc.

One of the interior views shows no transfer case stick next to the tranmission controls. Does that mean that four wheel drive is optional?

I think this is a much better Cherokee replacement then the Liberty.

What is the third stalk on the steering wheel (on the right side below the wiper control)?

Yeah, I realized what it was just before I read you response. I have gotten used to steering wheel mounted controls so didn't think about that they might move them to a column stalk.

Interesting how adding the hard top instantly switches the appearance from a baja sporty vehicle to a militaristic design. Very cool.

Looks like this could be the Sahara model ? Wheels look the same as the Rubicon's. Tires are 32" Goodyear Wrangler SRA's ? Love the color !!!

There is not a single thing that I have to complain about here. This is the Jeep I have wanted for 15 years.

I am really excited about this, can't wait till i can see the whole thing. I heard that the hardtop would be able to be taken apart and stored in the back of the jeep, does anyone know anything further on this rumor?

Hmmm... I need to ask for a raise so I can afford not only the Commander, but the Wrangler and the four-door Wrangler too!
