From The Toledo Blade:
Despite operating six 20-hour days a week on overtime for more than two months, DaimlerChrysler AG's new Jeep Wrangler plant can't keep up with demand.
So, starting this weekend, the North Toledo plant partially run by suppliers will add occasional Sundays to its production schedule to help fill about 59,000 pending Wrangler orders from customers and dealers, mostly for the four-door Unlimited model, union and company officials said yesterday.
Those orders represent roughly three quarters of the total number of Wranglers sold nationwide last year.
"We've got a good problem," Dan Henneman, chairman of United Auto Workers Local 12's Jeep unit, told The Blade yesterday.
It's great to see some good sales news coming out of Chrysler Group - especially considering it's due to the new Wrangler. We're looking forward to checking out the November sales numbers when they come out in a few days.

![]() This may kind of hurt me a little.
I was hoping sales would be just low enough for DCX to maybe offer up incentive programs for the Wrangler early next year (reduced APR, cash discount, etc.) but with these things flying off the lots, I can forget that. ![]() I guess I'll have to save a little longer. |

![]() Oh good, this is good news. The new Wranglers are not flying off of the lots in my region so I'm glad to see that as a whole they are doing well on a national level. I've yet to see one of the new Wranglers on the road here, I did see one in a store parking lot a while back, but that's been it so far.
Perhaps if the Wrangler does as well as it should we'll get the Gladiator. The Gladiator is one Jeep product I would have bitten on and bought, because I need a truck in my life not a passenger vehicle. |

![]() That's a good thing, because the more profit generated from JK/JKL sales, the easier the business case justification to produce a new Scrambler/Gladiator type and offer new engine options. It's all about the green...
