Musical entertainment group will headline grand finale concert on Saturday, June 28

Camp Jeep(R), which returns to the Oak Ridge Estate near Charlottesville, Va. June 26-28, will feature a live outdoor concert with hit alternative rock band Smash Mouth.

"This year Smash Mouth is going to rock Camp Jeep number nine," said Jeff Bell, Vice President - Jeep. "We have been putting on the Camp Jeep event for a long time and every year we make it better. This event really is the original and ultimate ownership experience."

Smash Mouth will headline the "Jeep Jubilee" concert as part of the grand finale that will close Camp Jeep on Saturday, June 28. The performance coincides with the highly-anticipated release of their first new single since 2001, entitled "You Are My Number One." Smash Mouth is known for their infectious, punk-infused songs. Their breakthrough 1997 hit "Walkin' on the Sun" helped define the Smash Mouth style. Over the next few years, additional hits included "All Star," "Can't Get Enough of You Baby," "Then the Morning Comes," and the 2001 remake of "I'm a Believer," the Neil Diamond-penned song made famous by The Monkees. The concert will conclude with a fireworks extravaganza.

On Saturday afternoon, Smash Mouth's lead singer Steve Harwell will accept a $5,000 check from Chrysler Group on behalf of the Presley Scott Research Foundation for Leukemia, founded in memory of the six-month old son Steve and his wife Michelle lost in 2001 to Acute Lymphatic Leukemia (ALL). After the check presentation, several children, their families and staff from the University of Virginia Children's Medical Center will have a chance to tour Camp Jeep and participate in a variety of activities.

This year, nearly 10,000 participants are expected to attend Camp Jeep. Among the more than 150 activities available to guests, two of the most popular are the Jeep 101 driving courses and Jeep 4 x 4 trail rides. Other highlighted activities include hiking, kayaking, scuba diving, a climbing wall, outdoor survival skills training, fly casting, children's activities, photography classes, an outdoor grilling school and numerous arts and crafts projects for the entire family. Additionally, the Thrills and Spills Zone features extreme sports activities including skateboarding, biking, BMX and snowboarding trampoline. Professional, Olympic-caliber athletes, such as Brian Patch, Jen O'Brien, Chris Gentry, Mike King and Sergie Ventura, will be on hand for live demonstrations.

Camp Jeep is one of several owner-loyalty programs created by the Jeep division. Jeep Jamborees, which began in the 1950s, are the original off- highway vacation. From the Maine Mountains to the famed Rubicon Trail, approximately 7,000 owners participate in the more than 30 Jamborees held each year. The excellent response to Camp Jeep led to the spin-off of Jeep 101. Jeep 101 driving courses are offered in cities across the nation to provide owners and prospective owners basic skills of safe, yet adventurous off-road driving.

Approximately 3,000 vehicles are expected to register for Camp Jeep 2003. Since its inception, approximately 55,000 people from 48 states have attended Camp Jeep. From 1995 to 1998, Camp Jeep was held in Camp Hale, Colo. From 1999 to 2001, Camp Jeep was located at Oak Ridge Estate in Nelson County, Va. In 2002, Camp Jeep was held at the White's Bar W Ranch near Branson, Mo. The event has sold out each year.
