Camouflaged Compass in the Snow
|
The guys over at AmericanCarFans.com recently got their hands on this photo (click link to see entire photo) of the (we assume) 2007 Jeep Compass out and about in the snow.
We expect the Compass to be unveiled next week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit along side the all-new redesigned Wrangler.
The press release that announced the Compass "concept" back in September of 2004 described it with a steeply raked windshield, an expressive hood, low-to-the ground stance, deep fascia, wire mesh grille texture and prominent lower intake give the Jeep Compass concept a powerful and capable appearance.
The Jeep Compass concept's side profile is highly sculptured. Powerful fender forms exaggerate the Jeep Compass concept's athletic stance, performance 19-inch wheels and red-line tires.
From the rear, a roof-mounted spoiler completes the Jeep Compass performance message. The deep fascia is uniquely styled to accommodate a large chrome dual exhaust system, which also reinforces an aggressive, performance-oriented character.
We'll see if the production Compass is as agressively styled as the concept...

![]() A CRD version of the Dodge Calibre has apparently been spied in all it's naked glory.
http://raywert.blogspot.com/2006/01/2007-dodge-caliber-in-wild-and-un.html As you all probably know the Dodge Calibre, Jeep Compass, and Jeep Patriot all share the same architecture and drivetrain. So if they are testing a CRD Calibre in the US it would only make sense that the Compass would get that same engine choice. |
