One of our readers was reading the popular VW site vwvortex.com and came across a posting with some photos of a softtop 4-door Wrangler Unlimited on the road being tested.

"DasBaldGuy" claims that the photos were taken over Memorial Day weekend in Michigan. There are 5 photos - check them all out

Re: 4-Door Wrangler Unlimited Softtop in the Wild
I saw the "poser " pics of the 4 door which did not look half bad, although I would agree that it now is similar to the H2. But seeing these real pics, the 4 door appears to be too wide (espicially the tail shot) and generally has a "porky" appearance. It seems the JK is now a family / soccer mom SUV.

Bigger and heavier and still poor fuel econony (est 17/22)

Way to go Jeep.

I have to disagree about the "soccer mom" thing. I saw the JK in person at the NY auto show, and it didnt come across as a soccer mom mobile at all. I dont think a soccer mom could handle the rough ride of a jeep anyway.

The unlimited particularly looks great with half doors.

I wonder if they are making all that plastic out of better material so it dosen't all turn white after 3 years. That was my biggest pet-peave about about the TJ's. It made them look like crap.
Otherwise this looks like a winner!

I was hoping for some new type of higher quality/easier to use soft top for jeeps, but I guess I will have to keep waiting...

As far as faded fender flares go, check out this link (if I can figure out how to post one).

Fixed for faded flares thread on Jeep Forum.com

One of the guys there posted pics of his flares. He used Line X on them and I must say they took pretty darn cool!

That's what I plan to do with my TJ flares when they start to go, but by then, I'm hoping to have a JK.
