From The Toledo Blade:
Toledo-made Jeep Liberty sales continue to trail the Ford Escape halfway through this year, but both are being threatened by a resurgence in the Honda CR-V and booming Chevrolet Equinox numbers.
Escape sales through June plunged 12 percent compared to last year but still lead among compact sport utility vehicles at 86,914 nationwide. The Liberty is in second place with 82,984 sold nationwide, a 4 percent drop from last year, while Honda CR-V sales are up 5 percent so far this year at 73,435 to take the segment's third spot.
