The Jeep brand released two new online games yesterday: a Jeep Geocaching Challenge and The Goonies: Return to Astoria (an adventure game based on the 80s movie).
Both games are first person games where you get to drive and run around and interact with different environments and clients. Both downloadable games require Windows XP with a decent video card and a bunch of RAM.
Here's the description:
"In the Jeep® Geocaching Challenge, conquer a variety of realistic terrains and weather effects to find the cache that'll take you to the next level. Luckily, you have your choice of four capable '07 Jeep® models to assist you—Grand Cherokee Limited, Liberty Limited, and Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Each success earns you perks, like a spot on the game's global leader board and the ability to unlock postcards you can then e-mail to your friends. Failure is not an option.
In Goonies: Return to Astoria, you can relive scenes and characters popularized by the hit '80s movie of the same name. But you'll do so in modern style with an '07 Jeep Wrangler. A whole new mythical world awaits—complete with a hip, downloadable, and sharable '80s soundtrack!"

![]() Dugg for Jeep paying homage to Goonies. It doesn't even have to be good - the fact that they show Goonies appreciation is pure awesome.
I'm 31. I've based my life on adventure and Goonies idealism. I'm probably the target demographic. I'd be happy to buy their product if they fix my credit. |

You mean like that time Michael Jackson came over to Chunk's house to use the bathroom? Or maybe they're going to relive the time that they were going to buy braces for Sloth but instead spent the money on Francis' toupee. I love the Goonies but from what I've seen here this game is somehow worse than the last Goonies game (Goonies II on the NES) and that's pretty hard to do. I just hope they leave the sequel idea alone because this kind of scares me: "Vote on if they should make a Goonies 2 movie." |

![]() Maybe I'm showing my middle age, but all this game & cartoon & bobblehead BS does nothing to sell me a Jeep. I've been sold on it for years.
![]() It's hard to believe even 18 year olds buy into this crap, but I'm not the one making millions selling Jeep on marketing ideas. ![]() |
