DaimlerChrysler has released some nice video of the 2008 Jeep Liberty from New York City last week.
Check out the full video.
Here's the text that accompanied the video:
The 2008 Jeep Liberty, which debuted for the first time at the New York Auto Show, has an all new, class-exclusive Sky Slider Roof that opens to reveal the first and second row -- or just one row individually for an "Only Jeep" open-air experience.
The vehicle will offer a choice of two different 4x4 systems to meet the customer's driving needs:
Selec-Trac III Four-Wheel Drive System -- This full-time, four-wheel drive offers customers the benefit of a two-speed active transfer case and brake traction controls system. It also instantly anticipates wheel slip and redirects torque accordingly, and is ideal for off-roading or driving in inclement weather.
Command-Trac Four-Wheel Drive System -- This part-time, shift-on-the-fly system provides the peace of mind of available four-wheel drive capability for use on slippery or loose surfaces, like snow, mud or sand.
The touch-screen navigation system has a 20 gigabyte hard drive with the capability to store more than 1,000 songs and photos. It also features improved on-road ride, handling, performance and fuel economy. The new exterior styling and functional interior space was designed to attract new customers.

![]() Yep. I'll have one of those when they come to Australia if I can have a diesel engine as per the 2.8 in the KJ as it has the power and economy for our long treks (or other econimical diesels). My magic XJ 2.5 t/diesel has been offroad & on to all four corners of Australian mainland. That's a lot of k's (miles to you guys).. I will keep it until I can get a suitable,mid-size diesel re-placement. (Will keep my 2000 TJ for 4x4 parks etc and just fun) Love the square shape as a 4x4 should be.Sunroof will be wasted as I will,as usual, fit a Rhino™ roofrack to it anyway (to stand on to take pix etc)

![]() I like the 08 Liberty much more than the current liberty. Also, it looks like Jeep listened to its customers in regard to styling. I expect jeep to sell lots of these new libertys...like the new wrangler...it looks good
