Our friends over at All-Par recently received some rumors from "Mr. Designer". Now we have no idea who "Mr. Designer" is, if any of his information is correct, or if he is even affiliated with DaimlerChrysler. That said, he did report some fairly interesting rumors involving jeeps (our comments are in italics):

  • Little Jeep people-mover - on hold. we're not sure what this is referring to, maybe the rumored Jeep Sport-Ute that was going to compete against the RAV4 and CR-V???
  • Grand Cherokee gets Commander type front and rear. hopefully it'll make it look a little less "rounded"
  • Limited run Wrangler, lifted higher with wider fenders, roll cage, 4.7 liter V8. all good news here
  • Cherokee to be killed off and replaced by a full size convertible SUV with 4.7 V8. full size convertible SUV? this would be something to see!

You can read the entire article and view all the DaimlerChrysler rumors that "Mr. Designer" provided at http://www.allpar.com/news.html in the article dated March 30.

If anyone has any further information about any of these rumors, as usual, you can contact us at jeepnews@onetomany.com.
