Chrysler Group announced today a new incentive program highlighted by up to $2,500 consumer cash on select 2002 model year Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge vehicles. The seven-year/100,000-mile powertrain protection plan on all Chrysler Group vehicles remains in effect until March 31.

The new incentive program runs through February 28.

"We're not taking our foot off the accelerator when it comes to providing customers with great product, world-class quality and unbeatable value," said Jim Schroer, Executive Vice President - Global Sales and Marketing. "This new program gives them all three -- innovative cars and trucks, an engine and transmission protection plan that emphasizes quality and durability, and attractive cash incentives that keep us competitive with the rest of the industry."

"The heart of the new program keeps the focus on brand value and product attributes," Schroer added. "Called the 'Chrysler Advantage,' 'Jeep Promise' and 'Dodge Edge,' the emphasis is on providing buyers a great value on outstanding cars and trucks, each one backed by a long-term commitment to quality, innovation and durability,"

Consumer cash of $2,500, or reduced APR financing, is available on Dodge and Chrysler minivans, (excluding the eC, eL and eX models); the Jeep Grand Cherokee (excluding the Sport model); and the Dodge Durango. Consumer cash of $1,500 is available on the rest of Chrysler Group's lineup of cars, trucks and SUVs, except the Dodge Intrepid, with $2,000 consumer cash, and the Jeep Wrangler, with $500 consumer cash.

Excluded from the national consumer cash portion of the program are the Chrysler PT Cruiser and the Jeep Liberty.

Well you asked, so here i am the traditionalist Jeeper with the rebuttle.

So I suspect they are giving the WJ a incentive package because it is a aging beast much like the ultimate SUV the XJ. Well I supose that means its time to kill it off and replace it with the 2003 Grand Liberty, featuring liberty inspired IFS, Ford Exploder inspired IRS, Lexus RX300 AWD, economical power provided by the honda inspired 4cylinder with JEEtec much like Vtec, and the traditional 7 slot grill with round lights. The perfect addition to every soccer moms garage. I'm sure they'll have a Chief, Pioneer, and Honcho packages because that pays tribute to Jeeps of yesteryear. TRASH TRASH TRASH!!!

You think your KJ is so great and wonderful and you finally found something to replace that aging Xterra in your garage, well it isn't. The looks are on the same level with the capability, the shi@!y level. You want proof? www.trailready.com makes armor for every jeep CJ, XJ, YJ, TJ, ZJ, and WJ. Now they are developing their KJ model. You know the first thing they are doing to there KJ testbed model, giving it a Dana 44 solid front axle from a TJ. They said flat out that IFS isn't capable for what thier products are designed for. If you can't read between the lines "K.J." that means a reputable jeep aftermarket manufacture says your suspesion is shit, not jeep worthy. They have to get the axle out of a aging TJ to fix your brand new KJ. Go chew on that.

So thats my 2 cents. Also I do go dear hunting. I enjoy it. If no one dear hunted there would be a overpopulation of deer. Consider us crowd control that makes sure the deer are on our roofs dead and not in front of your brand new KJ thats going 60 down the interstate and about to have a deer through the windshield. As long as your whining about the enviroment, i also own a Jeep Scrambler that is straight piped from the headers to the back of the Jeep. It makes tons of noise polution, and its a archaic engine that im sure puts out more hydrocarbons than you can count. HA!

"THERES ONLY ONE JEEP"
BUT WHEN I READ YOU ALLS HATE MAIL I WOULDNT THINK THAT . WHATS HAPPENED HERE TO THE JEEP
FAMILY ? I THINK ITS GREAT THAT JEEP CAN PRODUCE
A VEHICLE LIKE THE LIBERTY TO COMPETE WITH ALL THE RICE BURNERS IN THE MARKET TODAY ! THATS JUST WHAT AMERICA NEEDS TO KEEP JOBS HERE IN THE
STATES! I RECENTLY ATTENDED AN ALL BRAND JEEP
SHOW IN WHICH THEY HAD A FAIRLY CHALLENGING
OPSTICLE COURSE SET UP. ALL MODELS BOTH OLD AND NEW WERE ALLOWED TO RUN IT. AND THE LIBERTY DIDNT
HAVE ANY TROUBLE KEEPING UP WITH US. SO YES IT IS A JEEP. A RICE BURNER WOULD NEVER HAVE SURVIVED!!
NOW PERSONALLY THE LIBERTY ISNT FOR ME BUT DONT
SLAM MY FAMILY! DONT FORGET BLOOD IS THICK!THE AD WAS NO FAULT OF THE VEHICLES, SO GET OVER IT. IT COULD HAVE JUST AS EASILY BEEN A WRANGLER AD. THEY SAID THEY'RE SORRY SO LET'S MOVE ON. INSTEAD OF
YING AROUND ABOUT THE NEW MODELS, WE SHOULD BE JOINING TOGETHER IN MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES LIKE WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF OUR FAMILY? HOW CAN THE US ALLOW THIS AMERICAN HERO TO FALL FURTHER AND FURTHER INTO GERMAN HANDS? JEEP SUPPORTED AMERICA IN 1941, NOW IT IS TIME THAT AMERICA SUPPORTS JEEP!! WE SURE CAN'T DO THAT WITH A DIVIDED FAMILY. FOR ALL YOU ANTI-LIBERTY PEOPLE OUT THERE, LOOK AT IT THE WAY I DO. THE MORE JEEPS IN TOTAL NUMBER THAT THEY SELL THE MORE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT DOLLARS THEY HAVE TO BROADEN THEIR LINE. SOMEDAY I KEEP HOPING TO SEE THE TOUGHEST TRUCK EVER MADE TO RETURN TO PRODUCTION - THE J SERIES!! REMEMBER EACH JEEP WAS DESIGNED WITH A PURPOSE. MY J10 & J20 TRUCKS ARE MY BABIES AND I RELY ON THEM FOR TOUGH JOBS. BUT IT IS ALSO NICE TO JUMP INTO MY WRANGLER, PUT THE TOP DOWN & HEAD FOR THE MOUNTAIN OR TAKE THE FAMILY ON VACATION IN OUR GRAND CHEROKEE. I LOVE ALL FOUR OF MY JEEPS, AND THEY ARE ALL FAMILY. AND FOR ANYONE OUT THERE WHO THINKS THEIR VEHICLE IS TOUGHER, MY J20 IS READY AND I HAVE A LOG CHAIN.

FOREVER JEEP

Now that's more like it guys. That's just the kind of mindless dribble that I was
missing from the Jeep old timers club. I suspect that your other cars are vintage 2002 BC Fred Flintstone mobiles. Those were true solid axles Griff.

That's deer not dear, Griff. The Liberty is a
good vehicle for what it was designed to do.
Cart soccer moms around town, and get them
to the mall in snow. It was not meant to be a
rock crawler.

Here are a few more awards that the Liberty won in 2001:

Australian Auto Journalists 4 x 4 of the Year: Jeep Liberty. "The Liberty's ability to quickly end up on it's roof, makes it a natural for the land down under....where water spins in the opposite direction as it drains....and where everything is upside down from the USA"

National Institute of the Blind rates the Liberty 4 x 4 of the Year: Says Stevie Wonder...the NIB spokesman...."The Libery is far and away, the best looking SUV I have ever seen"

United States chapter of Premature Ejaculators: Spokesman Speedy Gonzales calls the Liberty the most inovative 4 x 4 of the year! Speedy says..."The Liberty's problem of inproperly deploying airbags is something our members can relate too. Timing is everything! We only wish we had the same delay problem as the Liberty airbags"

The Rosie O'Donnel show rates the LIberty the number one 4 x 4 of 2001!: Says Rosie...." you can be Ugly....and still find a market! Look at my show....look at the Liberty!"

Surely the anti Liberty group has something to say about all the awards the
Liberty has won, don't you ? Maybe it's true "Silence is Golden" or maybe since they have nothing intelligent to add they decided not to say anything.
Of course that never stopped them before. Or maybe they all decided that since its the weekend they needed to go kill some of them despicable deer
that are just taking up way to much space in the great outdoors.
