SalesExtended holiday shutdown to reduce Chrysler inventory?
Posted by Anonymous on 2006/12/19 19:15:35 (701) reads

It looks like Chrysler is doing exactly what was expected...shutting down plants to reduce inventory after weeks of overtime work to build it up.

Autoblog is reporting that plants that produce the Jeep Commander will be idled for an extended time during and after the holidays, and that "Chrysler will build only 1,000 units each next month of the Jeep Grand Cherokee" and other models.

 About time!
I feel bad for the employees idled by this shutdown but considering the surplus, this shutdown was neccessary.

FIRE MILLEN!

Is stable employment too much to ask for? As a union employee, CAW at that, this kind of mismanagement disgusts me. I'm sure their accountants have their reasons.
